No one knows this better than editors, who know that even the best writers produce imperfect prose. No matter how sharp your eyes or how polished your writing, you need a fresh set of eyes to catch those pesky typos and help you see where what you said and what you meant don’t line up.

I have been a freelance editor since 2003, and prior to that I worked for five years in Christian publishing. I’ve edited and proofread dozens of books, from nonfiction works of theology to contemporary fiction to best-sellers on hot topics for teens.
